What I Offer
-
I provide individual therapy for adults navigating anxiety, trauma, and substance use concerns. Many of my clients are high-functioning professionals, veterans or caregivers who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally exhausted despite appearing capable on the outside.
Therapy is collaborative and grounded in trauma-informed care, with a focus on helping you understand patterns, reduce distress, and create sustainable change. I
-
Trauma- informed therapy focuses on understanding how past experiences, chronic stress, or prolonged caregiving roles impact the nervous system and emotional well-being. Trauma does not always stem from a single event. Many adults experience symptoms related to ongoing stress, burnout, or repeated emotional overwhelm.
I work with adults who want to address the root cause of trauma-related symptoms, including anxiety, emotional reactivity, and difficulties coping, rather than only manage surface level behaviors.
-
I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which is an evidence-based approach used to treat trauma, PTSD, Anxiety, and distressing life events. EMDR helps the brain process experiences that feel “stuck” and continue to affect present-day thoughts, emotions or reactions.
I offer EMDR therapy to adults when clinically appropriate and aligned with treatment goals. EMDR can be especially helpful for clients who have insight into their challenges but feel unable to move past them through talk therapy alone.
-
I work with adults experiencing anxiety, panic, chronic worry, and nervous system dysregulation. Anxiety often develops in response to trauma, prolonged stress, or high-responsibility roles and may persist even when life appears stable.
Therapy focuses on understanding how anxiety developed, identifying underlying contributors, and building practical skills for regulation, relief and resilience. This approach goes beyond symptoms management to support long-term change.
-
I support adults who are concerned about their relationship with substances or who use coping strategies that no longer feel helpful or align with their values. Substance use is approached through a trauma-informed, non-judgemental lens that emphasizes understanding rather than shame.
Clients do not need to be in crisis or seeking abstinence to begin therapy. Treatment may focus on reducing use, exploring triggers, building alternative coping strategies, or supporting recovery goals.
-
Many of my clients are caregivers for children, partners, parents or loved ones with complex medical, developmental, or mental health needs. Caregiving involves chronic stress, secondary trauma, and emotional exhaustion that can significantly impact mental health over time.
I work with caregivers as individuals, offering support for anxiety, burnout, emotional regulation, and boundary setting. I do not provide family therapy, behavioral consultation, or care coordination services (referrals may be provided when appropriate).
-
All services are provided via secure telehealth. Virtual therapy offers flexibility, accessibility, and privacy while maintaining clinical depth and effectiveness. Many adults find it easier to remain consistent with therapy when sessions fit into their real-life schedules.
I provide virtual therapy only and work exclusively with adults
