Who we are
-
Hi, I’m Courtney Jordan, LCSW.
I provide virtual, trauma-informed therapy for adults navigating anxiety, trauma, and substance use concerns. I specialize in working with individuals who are often high-functioning on the outside but feel overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally exhausted on the inside.
Many of my clients are professionals, caregivers, veterans or helpers, people who carry significant responsibility and are used to just “pushing through”, even when it comes at a cost to their mental health. You may be insightful, capable, and motivated, yet still find yourself struggling with anxiety, emotional reactivity, burnout, or coping patterns that no longer feel sustainable.
My approach is grounded in trauma-informed care and includes EMDR, when appropriate. I focus on helping clients understand how their nervous system, past experiences, and current stressors can interact, so we can address root causes rather than just manage symptoms. Therapy with me is collaborative and practical, designed to support meaningful, lasting change.
I work exclusively with adults and offer virtual therapy only at this time. I believe therapy should fit into real life, not add another layer of stress.

I believe anxiety, burnout and substance use rarely exists in isolation. They often develop as understandable responses to prolonged stress, trauma, or unmet needs in life. Therapy is not about fixing you; it’s about helping your system feel safe enough to change.
If you’re looking for a grounded, trauma- informed approach that respects your strengths while addressing what’s been weighing on you, I invite you to reach out for a consultation to see if working together feels like the right next step for you.

I may be a good fit if you:
Are an adult (18+) seeking individual therapy
Experience anxiety, chronic stress, or emotional overwhelm
Have a history of trauma or ongoing stress that continues to impact daily life
Are concerned about your relationship with substances or other coping patterns
Identify as a caregiver, helper, or high-responsibility individual who feels burned out or depleted
Want therapy that is trauma-informed, structured, and focused on real progress
-
To ensure ethical and effective care, my practice may not be the right fit if you are:
Seeking therapy for a child or adolescent
Looking for couples or family therapy
In need of crisis-level care, inpatient treatment or detox services
Seeking case management, advocacy, or behavioral consultation related to a loved one’s care
Wanting a purely unstructured or supportive space without exploring underlying patterns or trauma
If I’m not the right fit, I’m happy to help guide you toward resources and referrals when possible. If you’re unsure if we are a good fit, hit that contact button to schedule a free 15 minute consultation.
